PORTRAIT OF HÉLÈNE
Hélène Turbé grew up on a small island in western France called Ile d'Yeu.
Very young, she was fascinated by the illustrations of children's books, her mother's haberdashery and the wood to be cut.
After working 10 years in Paris as a production manager in the media industry, she moved in 1998 to London and joined the "London Metropolitan University" to study jewelry. After obtaining her diploma in 2004, Hélène created her first collection, which immediately received an interest in London boutiques, which appreciated the "French touch" and the delicacy of her work.
Passionate about crafts, Hélène creates unique, timeless, elegant and refined pieces.
She draws her inspiration from ancient jewelry from the Byzantine and Victorian eras by reinterpreting them to create a “contemporary vintage” style. All of her jewelry is finely worked, chiseled and embellished with precious stones.
“My desire is to create jewelry in the tradition of artisanal jewelry by shaking up classic codes to make elegant and chic jewelry while bringing a breath of modernity.”
In 2017, it was with all her little tribe that she moved to France, to Nantes, a city on a human scale with crazy charm and a rock personality. Very quickly, it is quite natural that she opens her first workshop-boutique, a place that she wants to be elegant and refined, where her customers feel at ease far from the intimidating places of classic jewelry stores.
Hélène creates and manufactures her jewelry with love, by hand while respecting exceptional craftsmanship while respecting human and environmental rights.
“I like to think that my creations tell a story, evoke an emotion.
A witness to your present and your future, a celebration of the great and small moments of your life ”.
